`Yellow alert': Heavy rains likely to occur at isolated places in TS

In the season’s cumulative rainfall recorded from October 1 to November 16, Hyderabad recorded the highest,156.8 mm and Peddapalle recorded the lowest cumulative rainfall of 32.8mm.

`Yellow alert: Heavy rains likely to occur at isolated places in TS

Hyderabad, November 17: Kamrareddy and Rajanna Sircilla districts in Telangana received heavy rainfall at isolated places on November 16.

Kamareddy and Machareddy stations recorded a rainfall of 97.6mm and 94.2mm respectively. Yellareddypet and Sircilla stations in Rajanna Sircilla district recorded a rainfall of 75.3mm and 74.6mm respectively.

With the onset of winter, temperatures are dropping in the state. As per IMD's daily weather report, on November 16, Bhadrachalam recorded the highest temperature of 33.8 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature of 20.6 degrees Celsius was recorded at Medak.

IMD Hyderabad has issued a yellow alert to many districts in the state as the rainfall is expected to continue till November 19. "Heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahbubabad, Warangal (Rural), Warangal (Urban), Janagaon, Yadadri Bhuvanagri, Nagarkurnool and Mahboobnagar districts of Telangana. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places in a few districts of Telangana," read the IMD Bulletin.
