Yellow alert in Telangana for next four days; Mercury levels dip in state
According to the IMD weather forecast, heavy rains are likely to occur at isolated places in some districts of the state.

Hyderabad: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, issued a yellow alert in Telangana for four days from 19 to 22 June. According to the IMD weather forecast, heavy rains are likely to occur at isolated places in some districts of the state.
The districts that are expected to receive heavy rains in the coming days include Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Adilabad, Mancherial, Mulugu, Mahabubabad, Bhupalapally, Suryapet, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Narayanpet, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Jogulamba Gadwal, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Peddapalli, Nalgonda, and Yadadri Bhuvnagari.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are also expected at isolated places in many districts of Telangana.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, the state's highest rainfall was recorded at Jadcherla in Mahabubnagar (89.1 mm). In Hyderabad, the highest rainfall of 7 mm was recorded in Bachpalle in Medchal Malkajgiri.
Normal southwest monsoon
IMD, in its daily weather report on Sunday, said the southwest monsoon is normal this year in Telangana. From the rainy season's onset in June, Adilabad has received the state's highest rainfall of 106 mm. Khammam weather station received 91 mm and Ramagundam station received 88 mm of rain so far this year. Three districts received excess rainfall, seven districts received normal rainfall, 22 districts received deficient rainfall, and one district received large deficient rainfall since 1 June.
Temperatures dropping
The maximum temperatures in the state are also gradually reducing across the state. In the last 24 hours, the state's maximum highest temperature of 39.6°Celsius was recorded in Allapalli in Bhadradri Kothagudem. In Hyderabad, the highest temperature recorded was 36.8°Celsius in Trimulgherry.
