The CBI arrested Bhaskar Reddy on April 16 in Vivekananda’s murder case and took him into custody from April 19 to 24.

CBI court dismisses YS Bhaskar Reddy’s bail petition

Hyderabad: The CBI court here on Friday dismissed the bail application filed by YS Bhaskar Reddy, father of Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy in the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case.

Bhaskar Reddy, who was arrested in the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case, filed a petition in the CBI court seeking bail. Bhaskar Reddy stated that he is suffering from illness and has been in jail for almost one and a half months, even after the custodial trial has ended. He appealed to the court to grant bail considering these factors.

The CBI arrested Bhaskar Reddy on April 16 in Vivekananda’s murder case and took him into custody from April 19 to 24. Bhaskar Reddy, who has been in Chanchalguda Central Jail since April 24, fell ill last week and was given treatment at Osmania Hospital. The doctors who examined him found that he had heart issues and moved him to NIMS. Later, he was taken back to jail. The CBI objected to the bail petition of Bhaskar Reddy.

Judge CH Ramesh Babu of the court of the principle special judge for CBI cases, Hyderabad pronounced the orders on Friday evening dismissing the bail application of Bhaskar Reddy.
