Visakhapatnam: A 28-year-old housewife allegedly poisoned her three children to death before ending her own life at C-Colony area in Araku Valley of Vizag Agency in Andhra Pradesh.

The incident occurred on Friday night. Sources said the woman took the extreme step because of the running feud with her husband. The deceased have been identified as Ch Surekha, her daughter Ch Susana (9), and sons Ch Sharvin (6) and Ch Siril.

Araku Valley police said that Ch Sanjeev, who is an employee with GCC, has been staying along with his family in Araku Valley for the past few years.

On Friday night, Sanjeev found his wife Surekha hanging from a ceiling fan in one of the rooms and the three children lifeless in another room. Sanjeev claimed that his wife poisoned three children to death and later ended her life. He also claimed that the incident might have taken place when he went to his friend's house.

Locals said there was a dispute between Sanjeev and Surekha for the past few days and there was a heated argument between Sanjeev and Surekha on Friday also.

Police led by Sub-Inspector Sh Nazir visited the spot. The police said that they didn't find any suicide letter in the house.

However, Surekha's father Lakshmaiah alleged that Sanjeev might have killed the four people following the dispute with Surekha. He alleged that his son-in-law is trying to mask murders as suicides.

Police have shifted the bodies to the Primary Healthcare Centre at Araku Valley for post-mortem. Family members of Surekha have demanded stern action against Sanjeev.
