London street to vintage house: At this Vizag photo studio your imagination is the limit

Visakhapatnam: Would you like your pre-wedding photoshoot in a beautiful European library? Or how about a photoshoot in a London street? What if I told you that you can get all these here in Vizag? The Photo Destination Studio, located adjacent to the Vizag-Vizianagaram National Highway, is a one-stop destination for your dream photoshoots.

The studio has several outdoor locations ā€“a beach, a royal palace, a village, or even a London street.

The studio is designed by the eminent city sculptor G.V Ramana Murty. It does photoshoots for pre-wedding, birthday, post-wedding, short films, modelling, advertisement, maternity shoots, and baby shoots.

Ramana Murty studied fine arts at Andhra University and became popular for his works during the International Fleet Review and for making tableaus for Vizag Utsav and statues for the beautification of Vizag city. He knew the pulse of the people and realized that the city needs a good place for all kinds of photoshoots. "Many photographers have asked me to make sets or backdrops for pre-wedding photoshoots. Unlike Hyderabad, we have very few places for photoshoots. A majority of the people go to beaches or parks. Working as the main sculptor at the Ramoji Film City, I got some good ideas on making themes for shootings," said Ramana.

The studio is built on 2.5 acres of land and has about 30 sets ā€“ both outdoor and indoor ā€“for all kinds of photoshoots. The studio has several themes, including a European library, a vintage house, a cowboy set, musical clusters, a village set, and a London street. "It took me about six months to create all the themes. Our studio has some antique pieces such as a 200-year-old bed, a vintage style radio, a typewriter, and a telephone," Ramana added.

Ramana's sets are his original creations. He carved a piano with vintage paintings, made barrels and guns for the cowboy theme, and made 3D paintings for the London street to create a natural look.
