Celebrations turned into mourning after three Class X students died in a bike crash at PP Agraharam village in Vizag district on Saturday night.

Visakhapatnam: Celebrations turned into mourning after three Class X students died in a bike crash at PP Agraharam village in Vizag district on Saturday night.
The deceased were identified as R Hemanth, P Anish Kumar and P Harsit. Hailing from Makavarapalem, they were studying in Class-X at Makavarapalem High School.
Police said that for the past three days, Hemanth and his friends were busy making arrangements for a family function on Sunday.
To finalize the arrangements, the trio took a bike to meet someone. Police said the rider of the bike lost control due to over-speeding and hit the roadside tree. Hemanth died on the spot, while Anish Kumar and Harsit succumbed to their wounds at the hospital.
Police registered a case and shifted the bodies to Narsipatnam area hospital mortuary for post mortem. Police said that over-speeding was the reason for the fatal accident. The accident sent shock waves across the village.
