Visakhapatnam: A five-day summer camp organized by Indira Gandhi Zoological Park (IGZP) has concluded in Visakhapatnam. Nearly 30 children participated fun-filled camp.
Experts shared knowledge about different animal species. The children were told about carnivores and herbivores. On the third day, the children were taken to the veterinary hospital and explained various treatment methods.
"It was so good to be part of summer camp after the COVID-19 pandemic. We were bored being at the home taking online classes. There is so much to learn about animals ", said a child who attended the summer camp.
Curator of IGZP, Dr. Nandani Salaria, said last year the summer camp was held online due to the pandemic situation. She urged the children to stay close to nature and learn about wildlife. She said children got an opportunity to know how animals are treated at the Veterinary Hospital.
