Vizag advocate booked for raping, taking nude photos of client

He also reportedly blackmailed her for money.
According to the police, the lawyer has been practicing in the Vizag court and lives in the Arilova area in the city. A woman from the Pendurthi area in the city had approached the advocate in 2018. He promised to help her in her legal battle and the two also started an illicit affair. However, the man took objectionable videos and photos of the woman and threatened to show them to her husband if she did not pay him money.
The woman allegedly paid him Rs. 70,000. However, he continued to threaten her saying he would upload the videos and photos on social media. He demanded more money from the woman. Facing harassment, the woman lodged a complaint with the Pendurthi police in the city.
Inspector Ashok Kumar has registered a case against the advocate under relevant sections of the IPC and started an investigation to nab the accused who is absconding. "Since the case is under investigation, we will not reveal the name of the accused," he added.
