Will shift Warangal Jail, set up Multi Super Specialty Hospital: KCR
By Newsmeter Network Published on 22 May 2021 4:30 AM GMTWarangal: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday said Warangal Central Jail would be shifted to the outskirts and a new Correctional Center will be set up in the sprawling campus. He said the campus would be converted into Open Air Jail akin to Cherlapally Open Air Jail and it would serve as a Correctional Center for inmates.
Earlier the Chief Minister announced to build a multi super specialty hospital, that would be developed with all the facilities in the jail premises. He said MGM Hospital would be converted into Mother and Child Health Centre (MCH). The CM noted that all district primary health care centers should be strengthened.
The CM visited Warangal on Friday as part of his programme to monitor and supervise the COVID treatment and facilities available at the government hospitals. The CM, who reached Warangal by helicopter, visited the MGM Hospital. He visited the ICU, General wards and interacted with the patients. He spoke to patients and enquired about the treatment, medicines, and the quality of food being supplied. He enquired about their personal details and instilled confidence among them. He advised them not to entertain any fear or anxiety about COVID.
Later, the CM visited the general ward. The CM went around the MGM hospital and inspected the way sanitation is maintained and other facilities.
The CM had enquired from the doctors about the medical facilities and treatment given to the people. The CM has instructed senior Medical and Health Officials to provide the required facilities and treatment to the patients and they should not worry anything about the availability of funds. The CM enquired from the staff and Nurses about the problems faced by them. He lauded their services.
