Robbers kill housewife in Nizamabad

In the process of looting the woman, they chopped her toe fingers. Later, they sprinkled chilli powder all over the area in order to dodge and divert police attention.
According to sources, the victim Varalaxmi and her husband Srinivas were residents of Aryanagar in Nizamabad town. On Monday night,
Srinivas went to work, leaving his wife alone at home. When he returned on Tuesday morning, he found the doors open, the house ransacked and chilli powder sprinkled all over the place. As he walked inside, he found his wife’s body lying in a pool of blood.
Hearing him crying, neighbours rushed, found the body and alerted police. Police, along with Clues team and dog squad, rushed to the spot
and started the investigation. They found gold ornaments weighing around five tolas and Rs 10,000 cash stolen. A murder case has been registered and special teams have been deputed to nab the offenders. Police are gathering clues from CCTV footage.
