Rythu Bandhu Kendras in AP to be one-stop solution to farmers: Jagan
By Newsmeter Network Published on 10 Sep 2020 9:44 AM GMTAmaravati: To make agriculture sustainable, the state government has decided to set up multi-purpose facilities at Rythu Bandu Kendras across the state. The centres will offer 13 kinds of services that farmers require for their operations and they can be termed one-stop solution for farmers.
These integrated facilities include godowns, drying platforms, collection centres, cold storages, custom hiring centres, primary processing centres, janata bazaars, primary processing centres, assaying equipment, bulk milk cooling units, aqua infra and cattle sheds (in selected villages), procurement centres, e-marketing.
A team of representatives from all the departments concerned would be involved in setting up a total of 5,531 godowns/cold storages/collection centres, 4,147 drying platforms, 4,796 threshers, 7,132 cleaners, 1,861 graders, 15,167 dryers, 654 dal mills, 100 turmeric boilers, 100 turmeric polishers , millet processing units , 29 chilli dryers and 816 maize shellers.
In a meeting held at the CMās camp office at Tadepalli, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the YCP government set up over 10,500 RBKs across the state as an initial step to bring about welfare of farmers. āTo double the income of farmers, we need to ramp up infrastructure around the RBKs and also focus on creating demand for quality produce across the globe.ā
Further, the CM added that the idea to set up all the infrastructure at one place is to save on both money and energy of the farmers.
