Samantha, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi join hands for Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal

Hyderabad: Samantha, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi are three of the most celebrated actors in South India in recent times. These actors have stood the test of time and went on to make a name for themselves in the respective industries. Now, imagine if these three actors join hands for a film. Sounds quite exciting right?

On Valentine's Day, the three stars are joining hands for a film titled Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which will be helmed by Vignesh Shivan. The makers announced that it's a three-way love story. The announcement video indicates that Samantha and Nayanthara will fight it out with each other for Vijay Sethupathi. Going by the announcement, it looks like a fun love story featuring three powerhouse performers.

A few years ago, Vignesh Shivan said that he has envisioned Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal with Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha and Nayanthara. However, the film didn't materialise due to unknown reasons.

Vignesh Shivan took to Twitter to announce, "This Valentine’s Day is super special as i get to direct my favourite script with some amazing people. Composer Anirudh Ravichander, who shares a great rapport with Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan and Vijay Sethupathi has been roped in to score music for the film. Anirudh, Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan and Vijay Sethupathi had earlier teamed up for Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, which became a blockbuster hit and catapulted him to a new different level.

The shooting of Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal is expected to begin in the coming months. The romantic film will be jointly produced by Seven Screen Studios and Rowdy Pictures. More details regarding the film, cast and crew will be announced later.
