Sania Mirza pulls out in first-round of Australia Open following a Calf injury

Sania suffered a calf strain which forced her to retire from the women's doubles first-round match of the much-awaited Australian open.
Sania and her partner Nadiia Kichenok who were victorious at the Hobart International were already down by a set (2-6) and were trailing in the second set as well (0-1) to the Chinese duo of Xinyun Han and Lin Zhu.
With the situation only getting worse, Sania picked up an untimely and unexpected injury which forced her to not take part in the game anymore.
It was not too long when Sania and her partner Nadiia Kichenok won the women's doubles in the Hobart International as they beat China's Zhang Shuai and Peng Shuai (6-4, 6-4) in the finals of the tournament.
This victorious comeback by the veteran was applauded by fellow sportsmen and fans on social media as she made a comeback to the sport of after two-year Maternity leave. Her son Izhaan made the occasion much more special as he was present at the court when Sania won her first-round match in the tournament.
