100 kidney transplant surgeries completed at NIMS in 2021
Although the number of surgeries reduced in 2020 due to COVID-19, NIMS has so far conducted 100 surgeries - 25 women and 75 men - this year.

Hyderabad: Telangana health minister T. Harish Rao on Thursday congratulated the doctors, nurses, and other staff of NIMS Hospital for completing 100 kidney transplant surgeries this year. He further said the state government is offering free transplant surgeries through its Aarogyasri scheme.
More than 100 kidney transplant operations have taken place at NIMS Hospital every year since 2016. It conducted 111 surgeries in 2016, 114 in 2017, 111 in 2018, and 107 surgeries in 2019. Although the number of surgeries reduced in 2020 due to COVID-19, NIMS has so far conducted 100 surgeries - 25 women and 75 men - this year.
