Hyderabad: Five researchers at International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), Hyderabad, have featured in Stanford University's list of top 2 percent scientists in the world
In this exhaustive list, Prof. G. Sundararajan, Dr. Tata Narasinga Rao, Dr.Ibram Ganesh, Dr. N. Rajalakshmi (all four featured for the second consecutive time), and Dr. R. Subasri has found a place, representing fields like Materials, Energy, and Applied Physics.
In the exhaustive list of 1, 59,683 persons, 1,492 Indians have found a place, the Research Center said on Thursday. The list includes the top 2 percent of the most-cited scientists in various disciplines across the world.
The list has been prepared by Stanford University in which they created a publicly available database of 100,000 top scientists that provides standardized information on a number of publications, citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted Hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions, and a composite indicator.
The Stanford ā Elsevier reports were published recently. They have been classified into 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields.
