Hyderabad: India's indigenous vaccine, 'Covaxin', developed by Bharat Biotech (BB), has received government approval for emergency use for children aged between 12 and 18 years.

"We have documented excellent safety and immunogenicity data readouts in children, it said. We look forward to Covaxin providing similar levels of protection for adults and children alike.
