UoH scientist awarded Prof. GP Talwar Young Scientist Award 2022

Hyderabad: Dr. Mamta Sajwan Khatri, DST scientist (WOS-A) at the department of animal biology in the University of Hyderabad (UoH), has been awarded the prestigious Prof. G.P Talwar Young Scientist Award 2022 by the Indian Society for the Study of Reproduction and Fertility (ISSRF) in recognition of her outstanding contributions in the field of reproductive health.

The award is given in the name of the founder of the Indian Immunology Society Padam Bhushan Prof. G.P Talwar to recognize young researchers in the field of immunology for their overall performance and achievements.

Dr. Mamta is currently working under the mentorship of Prof. B. Senthilkumaran in the department of animal biology, UoH. Her research interest is molecular endocrinology/ neuroendocrinology and reproductive biology. She is focused on investigating the molecular characterization of neurotrophic factor/signalling molecule and associated transcription factors in the regulation of brain and gonadal function leading to reproduction and its implication on reproductive health.
