Shah Rukh among top 10 richest actors in the world with net worth of $600 million

Hyderabad: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is undoubtedly one of the most popular stars in Indian cinema. The "King of Bollywood" and enjoys a massive fan following across the world. In a career spanning close to three decades now, the actor has done more than 80 films which earned him numerous accolades, including 14 Filmfare awards. Other than being a successful actor, he also owns production companies like Red Chillies Entertainment and Dreamz Unlimited. The actor was honoured by the Indian government with the Padma Shri while the French government has awarded him the ‘Ordre des Arts et Lettres’ and the ‘Legion d honneur’.
As of 2020, Shah Rukh Khan’s net worth is estimated to be more than $600 million, making him one of the richest actors in the world. SRK is the only Indian actor in the list of top 10 wealthiest actors from Bollywood and Hollywood. In fact, he is richer than Hollywood stars like Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks. He topped the Forbes list of ‘Celebrity 100’ thrice in 2012, 2013 and 2015.
With an estimated yearly earning of Rs. 514 crores, the actor is one of the richest persons in India. From owning uptown properties to luxury cars, the actor is always in the news for his lavish lifestyle. According to an article in a leading magazine, his iconic house ‘Mannat’ ranks 10th among the top houses in the world with a market value of Rs. 200 crore. The actor also owns a house in London which he bought in 2009 for Rs. 172 crore. In addition, SRK owns a bungalow at Pal Jumeriah in Dubai which is worth Rs. 24 crores.
Shah Rukh Khan is an avid sports buff. In 2008, he bought an Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket team, the Kolkata Knight Riders, along with fellow actor and friend Juhi Chawla. At present, it is worth Rs. 548 crore. SRK has a collection of luxury cars, including Bugatti Veyron, Rolls Royce Coupe, Land Cruiser, BMW 7Series, BMW 6Series, Mitsubishi Pajero, and Audi A6. The combined worth of these cars is around Rs. 15 crores.
The actor has worked with various reputed brands like Hyundai, Nokia, PepsiCo, Dish TV, Asian Paints, Big Basket, and many more. He is the most sought out name among advertisers and the actor charges Rs. 3 to 5 crores from each brand.
