Shuttler Sikki Reddy, physio test +ve for COVID-19

Sikki Reddy and her physiotherapist tested positive for COVID-19 on 13 August during a national camp at the SAI Pullela Gopichand Academy here. The academy, meanwhile, has been shut down for sanitisation, the Sports Academy of India said.
The sports authority had organised the badminton camp for eight shuttlers, including P.V Sindhu, in preparation for the Olympics.
Sikki Reddy and her physiotherapist Kiran were both asymptomatic. All players and staff members who came in contact with the two are undergoing tests.
The Sports Authority of India had proposed mandatory COVID-19 test for all players, support staff, and coaches before the start of the training on 7 August at the academy.
In 2016, Sikki Reddy won the Brazil and Russia Open Grand Prix title in the mixed doubles event along with Pranav Chopra. She also won a gold in the South Asian games, again with Pranav.
