Singareni Huts residents block GHMC Mayor over pending issues

Saidabad: Tension prevailed at Saidabad on Wednesday morning, as residents of Singareni Huts blocked GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan’s movement. The incident happened when the mayor was on a visit to IS Sadan division.
On Wednesday morning, after the inspecting pipeline works at Green park colony, Rammohan was leaving the area. Suddenly, a large group of people from the adjoining Singareni Huts came to the inspection site. They staged a protest in front of the mayor’s vehicle and blocked its movement.
The public demanded an explanation from the Rammohan for pending issues in their locality. They alleged that GHMC officials are completely neglecting civic issues in their area. The crowd started growing, leading to a tense situation.
Saidabad police rushed to the spot and dispersed the protesting crowds, after which the mayor left the place.
