Hyderabad: An octogenarian woman was found murdered in her home in Sanathnagar of Hyderabad on late Tuesday night. The victim, Sundaramma, was found lying in a pool of blood with injuries on her head. Police officials informed that her household articles and items from her almirah were found scattered all over her house. They also found that Sundaramma stays alone in the house.
Sundaramma was residing at Shivaji Nagar of Borabanda. Her three sons, along with their families, are settled in different localities in Borabanda. They visit her frequently. On Tuesday night, when her elder son came to give her food, he found that the doors were open and items in the house were scattered. Furthermore, when he went inside, he found his mother lying in a pool of blood. Alarmed, he alerted neighbours who informed the police of the same.
Sanathnagar police registered a murder case and started a probe. Officials suspect that perpetrators broke into the house to steal valuables, during which they could have killed her.
