Sourabh clinches Hyderabad Open title
By Anurag Mallick Published on 12 Aug 2019 9:01 AM GMTHYDERABAD: Ace shuttler and National champion Sourabh Verma defeated World No. 33, Loh Kean Yew of Singapore (21-13, 14-21, 21-16) to clinch the BWF Super 100 Hyderabad Open title on Sunday. The match lasted for 52 minutes saw a fierce battle being fought by the two finalists.
From the beginning, Sourabh had the upper hand as he won the first set comfortably by 8 points. In the second set, Loh Kean made a great comeback by scoring five straight points to win the set 21-14. However in the final set for the title grab, Sourabh put his foot on the accelerator at the right time and clinched the Super 100 title at the Hyderabad Open.
Sourabh had earlier won the āSuper 100ā titles at the Dutch Open and the Russian Open and his most recent win was at the Slovenian International in May.
