Special treatment for COVID infected Medics at NIMS, TIMS and Gandhi : Eatala
By Newsmeter Network Published on 27 Aug 2020 3:29 PM GMTHyderabad: Telangana health minister Eatala Rajender met doctors and paramedical staff at BRKR Bhavan on 27 August and reassured them that special treatment would be provided to medical workers and their families at the Nizam Institute of Medical Science (NIMS), the Telangana Institute of Medical Science(TIMS) and Research, and Gandhi Hospital.
The minister said 50 beds will be set up exclusively at NIMS to treat health care professionals. He also said that he will ask the Chief Minister to provide ex gratia on behalf of the state government to medical personnel who died while fighting COVID-19.
The representatives urged the minister to register cases against those who had attacked doctors at the Huzurabad hospital and arrest them immediately.
Minister Rajender said the death rate in the state had reduced significantly due to the quality treatment and free medicines being provided to patients. He once again urged people not to go to private hospitals and also congratulated doctors and health care workers for saving lives by risking their own.
