Speeding TSRTC bus kills Swiggy delivery boy in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 37-year-old Swiggy executive died after his bike was hit by a speeding TSRTC bus at Narsingi on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Wednesday. The victim, identified as Santosh, sustained severe injuries and died on the spot, said the police.

Santosh was associated with the food delivery service for the past few months and was on duty when he was knocked down. He was on his way to deliver an order at Gandipet when the speeding RTC bus belonging to the Mehdipatnam depot rammed into his bike from the rear. Santosh fell off the two-wheeler and was run over by the bus.

In another accident at Alwal in the early hours of Thursday, a private travels bus killed two youngsters on the Rajiv Rahadari highway. Victims Jagadish and Sirish, both residents of Macha Bollarum, were returning from a birthday party at a relative's house at Tumukunta at the time of the mishap. The police said the bus, going to Hyderabad from Jagtial, hit the duo's bike when its driver was trying to negotiate a sharp curve on the highway, killing them on the spot.
