For the first time, ACA is conducting the APL on the lines of IPL to explore the talent of the young players of the state

The women's league will be held from June 26 to July 3 at Vizianagaram. ACA CEO and APL governing council member MV Siva Reddy, council chairman Y Satya Prasad, ACA treasurer Gopinath Reddy and a few others unveiled the logos of the franchisees.
Modeled on IPL, six franchisees have been selected from nine shortlisted from more than 25 who have applied to be part of APL. KVTR Uttarandhra Lions (KVR Estates), Rayalaseema Kings (Dasaratharami Reddy), Godavari Titans (Malvin Global Energy), Coastal Riders (Surya Granites), Bezawada Tigers (Andhra Hospitals), and Vizag Warriors (Pulses Group) will battle it out for the title.
Matches will be played between 1 and 6.30 pm till July 12. Eliminator-1 and Qualifier-1 will be on July 15 followed by Qualifier-2 on July 16 and the final on July 17. Each franchisee will pay Rs 70 lakh a year for three years. A total of 368 players will go into the auction to be conducted by Charu Sharma on June 24, Siva Reddy added. Siva Reddy said that category A consists of 12 icon players who are current Ranji players with a base price of Rs 2 lakh each. Categories B, C, and D consist of U-25, 23, and 19 players with a base price of Rs 1.5 lakh, Rs 1 lakh, and Rs 50,000 each respectively.
