Sri Chaitanya Engineering College student commits suicide in her hostel room at Karimnagar

Hyderabad: A 21-year-old engineering student allegedly committed suicide in her private hostel at Karimnagar.
Identified as Jada Anusha of Konaraopet village in Wardhannapet Mandal in Rajanna Siricilla district, she was a third-year student at Sri Chaitanya Engineering College in Karimnagar.
On Friday, when she did not report to the college, the administration as per SOP informed her parents. Her parents immediately tried calling her, but her phone was switched off.
The later called up the hostel to inquire about their daughter. Hostel administrators told them that she did not turn up for lunch also. Hostel managers told the parents that they thought she has gone to college.
Later hostel managers tried to check on her room. As the room was locked from inside, they broke open the door and found her hanging from the bathroom ceiling. Later they informed the police and her parents.
Police along with clues team immediately rushed to the spot. No suicide note was found in her room. Police are looking into all angles. Her mobile phone was also seized for examination. Police said they will talk to her friends and the college to look for any clues.
