SS Rajamouli ropes in foreign actors for his magnum opus RRR

Hyderabad: SS Rajamouli who has been touted as one of the best directors in India in recent times is currently working on his upcoming multistarrer titled RRR. RRR features Telugu’s top heroes, Ram Charan and Jr NTR, in the lead roles in this historical-fiction. Bollywood’s dimple girl Alia Bhatt is also set to appear as one of the female leads opposite Ram Charan in the film.

Rajamouli has announced the details regarding other casts of the movie, and it has become the talk of the town. The director has roped in a theatre artiste named Olivia Morris to play the female lead opposite Tarak, who is playing the role of a freedom fighter named Komaram Bheem. Reportedly, Olivia’s expressive acting is considered apt to portray the character.



Notably, the director had initially roped in a British actress named Daisy Edgar Jones for the same role, but the actress had walked out of the project.

RRR’s makers also announced the names of actors who are to appear as antagonists in the upcoming magnum opus. RRR is touted to be a fragment of Rajamouli’s imagination combining the stories of two freedom fighters — Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitharama Raju. An Irish actress named Alison Doody is roped in to play one of the antagonists in this project. The makers took to their official Twitter handle to announce the same.

“Welcome to Indian cinema, #AlisonDoody! Had a wonderful time shooting for your first schedule... We are glad to have you play lead antagonist #LADYSCOTT in #RRRMovie (sic),” they wrote.

Besides, the makers have announced the participation of another Irish actor as an antagonist in the movie. George Raymond Stevenson, who appeared in some famous films and television shows, is all to be a part of Rajamouli’s magnum opus.

“Ray Stevenson, it’s a pleasure to have you play the lead antagonist #SCOTT in #RRRMovie. Can’t wait to begin shooting with you (sic),” the makers of RRR wrote on Twitter.
