SSC student slashed with blade after tiff in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: An SSC student was attacked by a group of persons at Alwal here late Tuesday night.

The victim, Vamshi, received injuries on his neck after he was attacked with a blade. It is suspected that a petty issue that flared up during Holi celebration and for setting up of a flexi banner, led to the attack.

Vamshi a resident of Subash nagar is a student of Government ZP High School in the same locality.

On Tuesday night, he, along with his friends, was returning home from tuition. At a dark and isolated place, a group of persons intercepted them and sent his friends to a distance.

An argument broke between them and turned into a quarrel. One of them, identified as Dattu, pulled out a blade and slashed Shiva on the neck. As Shiva started shouting, they fled from the spot. Shiva’s friends rushed and shifted him to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, his parents and police were also alerted. Alwal police, who registered a case, found that a petty issue led to the attack. They said that Dattu, Pavan and their friends were involved in the attack. Special teams have been formed to nab them.

Shiva is said to be out of danger.
