Apart from the day's play, there was a hilarious incident which took place yesterday.
Australia's Steve Smith casually flicked a beach ball through the leg side boundary that had entered Old Trafford.
Steve Smith made a comeback to the side after the concussion that he suffered in the second test.
He looked as good as ever, scoring an elegant half-century amidst which he was seen flicking a beach ball to the fence which entered the ground.
The fans, as well as social media, went bonkers as they saw Smith flick a beach ball to the boundary.
This summer has been a memorable one as the No.1 batsman in tests hasn't missed anything from scoring twin-centuries to hitting a beach ball to the boundary.
Australia ended the day's play in a commandable position as the scoreboard read 170/3.
