Suicide note recovered from Faridabad DCP’s house

A suicide note has been recovered from the residence of Faridabad deputy commissioner of police (DCP), Vikram Kapoor, who allegedly shot himself dead with his service revolver on Wednesday.

The Faridabad police statement read, “In the suicide note obtained from the Kapoor’s residence the name of a cop and one more person is mentioned. Police learned that the DCP was being blackmailed for the past few days. The family had lodged a complaint about this too. An investigation into the matter is underway.”

Police have seized the service revolver with which the officer shot himself and said that they will interrogate the inspector and the other person who is allegedly involved in the death of the DCP. Vikram allegedly shot himself at his residence in Sector 30 of Faridabad Police Lines at 6 am on Wednesday. The officer was the DCP of NIT area in Faridabad. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
