The film has been dubbed in Telugu with the title Aakasame Nee Haddura. Now, there are reports that it may be remade in Hindi.
After appearing in a series of commercial entertainers, Suriya is confident about this action thriller directed by Sudha Kongara. The film, which is partly based on the life of Air Deccan founder G. R. Gopinath, is produced by Oscar-winning film producer Guneet Monga in collaboration with Suriya and Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian under the banners of Sikhya Entertainment and 2D Entertainment. The film stars Aparna Balamurali, Jackie Shroff, Mohan Babu, and Paresh Rawal.
According to media reports, it's likely that there will be a Hindi remake of Aakasame Nee Haddura. Guneet, who has earlier produced films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Lunchbox, Masaan, and Zubaan, is all set to venture into the south with Soorarai Pottru. The producer, in her recent interview with PTI, said that she is always looking at venturing into new mediums. She also stated that the Hindi version of Aakasame Nee Haddura is already in the pipeline. However, the filmmakers are yet to decide if the same cast and crew will be part of the Hindi version as well. According to sources, Soorarai Pottru is slated to hit theatres in April 2020.
Suriya, who went through a rough phase in the recent past, has pinned all his hopes on Soorarai Pottru. The filmmakers recently took to social media to announce that the film will be dubbed in Kannada as well. Suriya's Singham franchise, too, was remade in Hindi where Ajay Devgn had played the lead. The movie went on to become a huge success in Hindi, too.
