Hyderabad: It looks like Taapsee Pannu is on a signing spree at the moment. The actress announced that she will be part of the Hindi remake of the German classic, ‘Run Lola Run’. The film is titled ‘Looop Lapeta’ and will co-star Tahir Raj Bhasin. Directed by Aakash Bhatia, it is set to release on January 29 next year.

The actress confirmed the news on Twitter and wrote, “Right, so here’s yet another announcement from my stable. I’m on a roll. Or shall I say in a loop? Stoked to announce Sony Picture India and Ellipsis Entertainment’s crazy thriller-comedy, “LOOOP LAPETA”, an adaptation of the cult classic “Run Lola Run.” Looking forward to the roller-coaster with my director Aakash Bhatia, my co-star, Tahir Raj Bhasin and the amazing folks at Ellipsis Entertainment (Tanuj, Atul) and Sony! ‘Run Lola Run’ is a thriller written and directed by Tom Tykwer. It is the story of a woman who needs to obtain 100,000 Deutsche Mark in twenty minutes to save her boyfriend’s life. The film was selected as the German entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 71st Academy Awards but was not ultimately nominated.

Taapsee is delighted that she is getting an opportunity to play author-backed roles. Recently, she and Bhumi Pednekar won the Filmfare Critics Award for ‘Best Actress’ for their performances in ‘Saand Ki Aankh’.

Currently, the actress is awaiting the release of  ‘Thappad’ directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film, which explores about marital violence, is set to release on February 28.

She will next be seen in ‘Haseen Dillruba’ directed by Vinil Mathew, which is scheduled to release on September 18.

In addition, Taapsee will also be seen as cricketer Mithali Raj in ‘Shabaash Mithu’. With some interesting projects in the pipeline, the fans of the actress are surely rejoicing at the moment.
