Tandur Sarpanch among three killed in car crash on Rajiv Rahadari highway

Siddipet: Three persons including a village Sarpanch were killed when their car crashed into a parked truck on the Rajiv Rahadari State Highway in Siddipet district.

The victims were identified as Sarpanch Anji Babu of Tandur in Mancherial district and his friends, Sai Prasad and Ganesh.

According to Siddipet police, the driver lost control on the speedy vehicle and rammed into the parked truck on the highway at Pragnapur near Gajwel.

The trio received multiple injuries and died on the spot, police said.

Police suspect that the car driver could have dozed off at the wheel and therefore did not notice the truck. Further investigation is underway, police said.
