New Delhi - CM Revanth meets business leaders in US -India strategic partnership Summit, says Hyderabad roads will be named after Google, Meta, TCS, Infosys

Hyderabad: The names of the companies Google, Meta, TCS and Infosys are popular across India, said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum, as a tribute to the companies. He said roads in Hyderabad will also be named after them.

In a meeting in New Delhi with global business leaders on Thursday, CM Revanth said, “To honour the contributions of these companies in the growth of Hyderabad, important roads in the city will be named after these companies. In India, we mostly name roads after political leaders, but we will change that in Hyderabad now.”

CM Revanth invites Harvard, Stanford and Oxford

CM Revanth Reddy once again extended an invitation to global academic institutions like Harvard, Stanford and Oxford to establish offshore campuses in Hyderabad.

“This will help students from South to access Ivy League programs due to easier visa rules and lower costs,” he said.

$1 trillion economy

The ambitious $1 trillion economy state vision received strong backing from global business leaders in the meeting in New Delhi.

Tech veteran and former Cisco CEO John Chambers praised CM Reddy’s strategy, describing it as ‘bold, clear, very achievable,’ and offered his full support. Chambers was particularly impressed by the Chief Minister’s presentation of game-changer urban projects and their potential social impact.

Dr Mukesh Aghi, CEO and President of USISPF, confirmed that most members would aim to attend the state’s upcoming ‘Telangana Rising’ Global Summit in Hyderabad on December 8 and 9, which is being held to showcase the comprehensive development vision.

Investment Pitch: ‘Gateway to India’

During his address, CM Reddy highlighted the extraordinary opportunities available for global investors in Telangana, calling it ‘India’s youngest, most exciting and successful state.’

He cited Hyderabad’s central location, low security risks, world-class infrastructure and status as a major destination for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), positioning the state as the ‘gateway to the entire Indian market.’

The CM outlined his government’s focus on economic empowerment of women, education, skills development and transforming Hyderabad into a world-class city with the highest quality of living. He also mentioned consistent, non-partisan support for investments over the last 35 years.

Key game-changer projects unveiled

CM Reddy sought major investments for several transformative projects, such as:

Bharat Future City: A proposed 30,000-acre project planned to be India’s most developed, world-class city.

Musi River Rejuvenation: A massive plan to create a riverfront experience comparable to those in London, Tokyo, Dubai or Seoul, designed to boost the city’s night economy.

Connectivity and Logistics: Development of Regional Ring Roads (RRR), Radial Roads, Hyderabad Metro Rail and a crucial Dry Port.

Manufacturing Zone: A dedicated manufacturing hub positioned between the RRR and the Outer Ring Road (ORR), aiming to establish Telangana as the ‘global answer to the China +1 alternative.’
