Hexathon 2023: Enigma, Strat Masters named champions; take home Rs 10 lakh

The winning teams received a total prize money of Rs. 10 lakh.

Participants Displayed Innovative Solutions across 5 Tracks: Green Tech Disruptors, Sustainable Energy, Environment, Manufacturing, and Assets.
Erik Jofesson, the president of R-evolution at Hexagon, M. Srinivas Rao, the CEO of T-Hub, and Prof. Sireesh Saride, the chair of the Greenko School of Sustainability & Climate Change at IIT Hyderabad, were among the judges.
Teams of CBIT third-year engineering students named Enigma and Strat Masters from Hexagon took home awards for their creative ideas. While Strat Masters developed a method to improve plant equipment maintenance, Enigma created an automated system to decrease energy waste, pollution, and waste generation in industrial processes.
The judges also announced five additional recognitions for excellent initiatives. These initiatives addressed a range of difficulties, including tracking carbon credits on a blockchain, optimizing building designs, managing scrap for plastic recycling using AI, monitoring solar panel power, and deep learning that is optimized for manufacturing flaw detection.

The core standards that support sustainability, the use of suitable technology, developing scalable and novel solutions, as well as having financial depth, resolving business issues, and consequently having commercial viability, were used to decide the winning teams.
