Redmi 10 smartphone that made a debut in August last year has finally made it to India with a few updates. The Redmi 10 comes as a successor to the Redmi 9 smartphone that has catered to many entry-level smartphone users in India. However, the Indian version of the Redmi 10 differs completely from the global version of the same.

The newly announced device from Redmi is a rebranded version of the Redmi 10C that was announced recently in Nigeria. The design of the Redmi 10 features a camera module that features the fingerprint sensor at the bottom corner; making the placement a bit difficult to unlock the device. The device has dual rear cameras and a water-drop notch on the front. Let's take a look at what Redmi 10 offers at affordable pricing.

Redmi 10 Specifications

The Redmi 10 sports a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a screen resolution of 720 × 1600 pixels. The display comes with a peak brightness of 400 nits and an aspect ratio of 20.6:9 along with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset coupled with Adreno 610 GPU powers the device.

The storage provided on the device from Redmi includes up to 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128 GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. The dual rear camera setup houses a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a 2-megapixel portrait sensor; along with an LED flash. The front-facing camera of the Redmi 10 comes with a 5-megapixel sensor for video calling and selfies. The sensors array of the device comprises a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, proximity.


The connectivity options of the device feature 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The brand has provided a battery pack of 6,000mAh that supports 18W fast charging, but Redmi has bundled a 10W regular charger in the box.

Price and Availability

The Redmi 10 costs Rs. 10,999 for the base 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage, and Rs. 12,999 for the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage in India. The device flaunts three color options — Caribbean Green, Midnight Black, and Pacific Blue color options. The Redmi 10 goes on sale from March 24 at Noon via Flipkart, Mi official online and offline stores, and other retail stores in India.
