Hyderabad: Fossil launched its latest smartwatch version in India, comprising a premium design and many helpful health tracking features. The new Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid smartwatch is the newly-announced wearable from the famous brand that offers a SpO2 sensor for blood oxygen monitoring, Alexa Voice assistant, and smart notifications. The Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid comes in two different variants dubbed "Machine" and "Stella" that is for both men and women. The pixel density of the Gen 6 Hybrid smartwatch includes a 218 PPI on the Machine variant and 254 PPI on the Stella version.
The smartwatches come in two different sizes with distinctive colors and materials. Machine comes with a 45mm case featuring a knurled top ring and pushers. The Machine edition has a 3-link bracelet that come in mesh, leather, or silicone straps. The Stella variant comes with a 40.5mm case featuring a coin-edge top ring, 150 crystals placed especially with the hand along with beveled mechanical hands.
The health features of the smartwatch include a SpO2 sensor and an improved heart rate monitor. The SpO2 sensor on the Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid smartwatch helps track blood oxygen levels. It gives an approximated estimate of the oxygen circulation in the body. The upgraded heart rate sensor allows for improved signal accuracy and a continuous tracker.
Fossil has partnered with Amazon and brought Alexa Voice-command assistant to their new watch. This unique watch features Bluetooth 5.0 LE, WiFi tethered GPS, and water resistance support for 3 ATMs. Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid smartwatch's compatibility includes Android and iOS smartphones. The battery backup is around two weeks with active blood oxygen tracking.
Price and availability
Fossil Gen 6 Hybrid with leather and silicone straps cost Rs. 17,633, and the bracelet-style belt costs Rs. 19,173. They come in Black, Smoke, Silver, Rose Gold, and Two-Tone shades. The smartwatch will be available on Fossil's official website and offline stores in India.
