Hyderabad: IT & Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said a long-term economic vision will bring in more capital, resources, and create 13 lakh employment opportunities in Bharat Future city.

He was speaking at the Telangana Rising Global Summit.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy released the Telangana Vision document on December 9. He invoked former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, calling him the inspiration for the Telangana government. The three key sectors where the government is to focus are education, irrigation, and communication.




Key Highlights

Scale and Scope: Spanning 13,500 acres, the futuristic city is planned to accommodate a population of 9 lakh people in purpose-built housing townships.

Massive Employment Generation: The project is projected to generate a staggering 13 lakh employment opportunities through the establishment of research centres, green pharma units, manufacturing clusters, and entertainment zones.

Six Specialised Districts: The city will be developed as six urban districts, each focusing on a high-growth sector:

Infrastructure Timeline:

The Young India Skills University is slated to commence operations within the next one month.

Construction activity for the 400 acres exclusively allocated for data centres is set to begin by the end of February.

Sustainability and Green Initiatives: Bharat Future City is committed to being a zero-carbon city. It will integrate futuristic transport systems, be covered with extensive urban forests, and feature an advanced water harvesting system to ensure zero runoff and secure groundwater for future generations.

Global Partnerships: A significant collaboration has been forged with the Reliance Foundation to establish Vantara, a dedicated wildlife conservation centre, within the city limits. The city will also host research and production clusters in life sciences and electric vehicles.

The Minister emphasized that the project will be an architectural marvel, integrating cutting-edge infrastructure and mobility solutions to emerge as one of the world's most celebrated global cities.

Real estate

A large number of real estate and land holders visited the summit grounds on the second day to have a look at the government's plan. There were also people from other cities, like Delhi, Mumbai, who wanted to understand the framework of the government's plan and the investment projects.
