Time is right to incorporate AI into Andhra’s education, says CM Jagan

Tadepalli: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the time is right to incorporate AI technology into the education system. He was speaking at a meeting with various universities' vice-chancellors at the CM camp office on Thursday.

He said through the use of Artificial Intelligence, the world is currently moving towards the fourth revolution. Technology today appears to be a powerful instrument to bridge the gap in the education system, he said.

“We must explore the emerging technology-based education and incorporate it into our educational framework,” said CM Jagan.

“This is an ideal moment to start the process of incorporating AI technology-based education into the system in order to guarantee that it becomes a reality. We’ll establish a high-level academic board for this and recruit the top talent to it. We must implement all these reforms, including reworking the curriculum and the examination system, through this board. This transformation should be done through the foundation level to the higher education level,” Jagan added.

In the meeting, Jagan emphasised how emerging technologies shall fundamentally alter the global education system and how the state should respond and embrace the contemporary approaches to teaching and learning for the benefit of the children’s future.

The CM talked about how modern teaching and learning techniques should take on a new dimension in ensuring that children in the future are well-equipped to face the challenges of the world beyond and emerge as leaders on a global scale.
