Hyderabad: Officials from the Telangana Chief Minister's office complained with Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar seeking action on the audio messages that had gone viral on social media platforms in the past few days. They sought strict action against those circulating the fake news and to stop the spread of the fake news as soon as possible.

A few days ago, an audio message, in which a citizen claiming to be from Karimnagar district calling the grievance cell at the Chief Minister's office had gone viral. In the audio clip, the caller is heard complaining to the grievance cell about the ongoing RTC strike and the alleged hardships faced by the people in the state. The caller is heard saying that the Chief Minister is like a father to the state and he should have the common sense to correct his children if they are at fault. The caller also asked the staff to take it to the notice of the Chief Minister.
