Telangana court issues warrant to Jagan's BIL and evangelist Anil
By Newsmeter Network Published on 19 Aug 2019 11:12 AM ISTA court in Khammam district of Telangana issued a non-bailable warrant against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's brother in law, Evangelist Anil Kumar, in connection with a case registered against him during the general elections held in 2009. The court issued orders blocking options to seek anticipatory bail to evade arrest.
The court which was dealing with the case observed that, despite serving summons multiple times against Anil Kumar to appear before them, Anil Kumar didn't turn up.
In March 2009, Anil Kumar took part in the election campaign at Karunagari in Khammam town, which is a religious place. Alleging that the campaigning was done at a religious place and even after the campaigning time ended, political rivals approached police, followed by a case registered against him. As Anil Kumar, who was named as one of the accused in the case, didn't appear before the court repeatedly, the II Additional First Class Magistrate at Khammam issues a warrant against Anil Kumar
