Telangana gets 60 COVID care train coaches to be deployed at Secunderabad, Kachiguda, Adilabad

The state government has to provide doctors and paramedics as per the standard operating procedures issued by the Union ministry of health on 6 May. The Railways will deploy two liaison officers for each location to assist the state government. In Telangana, coaches have been deployed at three different locations - Secunderabad, Kachiguda, and Adilabad. The coaches will be used for very mild and mild cases.
Andhra Pradesh has also received 20 COVID care coaches which will be deployed at Vijayawada. Meanwhile, Delhi has received 503 such coaches, while Uttar Pradesh has received 372 and Madhya Pradesh five.
Meanwhile, according to the medical bulletin released on 16 June, Telangana has so far conducted 44,431 COVID-19 tests. Of the total samples tested, 5,406 were positive. In comparison to other states, Telangana stands at the bottom in terms of the total number of COVID-19 tests conducted.
For another straight day, the state reported a spurt in new COVID-19 cases. In the last 24 hours, four people have succumbed to the virus and 213 have tested positive. Hyderabad continues to be the hotspot with 165 new cases, followed by Ranga Reddy.
