Telangana Kabaddi players detained after Coach attacks government bus conductor

Hyderabad: The Chennai police detained a group of students from Telangana, who went to Puducherry to participate in a Kabaddi match on Monday, over a fight that broke out between the government bus conductor and their coach.


The group had boarded Bus No. 29A to travel from Anna Salai to get down at Egmore as the group's coach Lakshmanan, got involved in an argument with the bus conductor over purchasing of tickets.


Eyewitnesses also claim that Lakshmanan had kicked and attacked Vincent, the conductor while getting down near Egmore.


Witnessing the attack that broke out between Vincent and Lakshmanan, the local public and others surrounded the group resulting in an exchange of punches.


On reaching the spot, the Chennai police detained the coach and the group of students for further investigation.
