Telangana lifts lock down curbs on construction work, industries in rural areas

In the government order dated April 29, the Telangana government maintained that certain activities, including construction work and industries will be allowed to function in the rural areas.
The other activities that have been permitted to function include:
- Stone crushers,
- Brick kilns,
- Handloom weaving,
- Repair workshops,
- Beedi making,
- Sand mining,
- Ceramic tiles and roof tiles,
- Cement factories,
- Ginning mills
- Iron and steel industries
- Plastic and sanitary pipes
- Paper industry
- Cotton mattresses
- Plastic and rubber industry
- Construction work
- Shops selling other items
The state further maintained that the above mentioned establishments will be allowed to function till 6 pm only. In addition to this, these industries will be allowed to operate in rural areas while complying with basic sanitation, hygiene and social distancing measures, as mentioned in the standard operating procedure of the ministry of home affairs. It is for the employers to take care of the workers, the government said.
