Telangana students can appear for SSC advanced supplementary exams

Hyderabad: Students who cannot make it to the SSC final examination being held between 8th June and 5th July 2020, will be allowed to appear for the advanced supplementary examination, informed, the education board – government of Telangana.

The decision comes in the wake of increasing number of COVID cases in the recent times, especially in Hyderabad. The total positive cases in the state ever since the pandemic broke out stands at 3290, of which 90 percent are reported from Hyderabad.

In an official communication, released on June 6th, the board said, ā€œ It is to inform those students who are not able to appear for the SSC examination scheduled from 08- June to 05- July due to COVID-19 situation will be allowed to appear for the advanced supplementary examination which will be held at later date. This is depending on the prevailing situationā€.

The order further said, ā€œ Such students will be considered and treated as regular candidates as a special case for this academic year onlyā€. The State Education board to appraise the High court of the decision taken.
