ACB arrests Peddapalli TSNPDCL Assistant Engineer for accepting Rs 20k bribe

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday arrested an Additional Assistant Engineer (operations) of Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TSNPDCL) for accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.

Hyderabad: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday arrested an Additional Assistant Engineer (operations) of Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TSNPDCL) for accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.

Kasarla Raj Kumar, Additional Assistant Engineer (operations), TSNPDCL, in Eglaspur Section of Manthani Division of Peddapalli District was caught when he demanded and accepted a bribe amount of Rs.20,000 from complainant Mohammed Showkath Ali for the installation of a transformer at his agricultural land in Arenda village.

The bribe amount was recovered from the possession of the accused officer. A chemical test conducted that came into contact with the bribe amount yielded positive results.

The accused performed his duty improperly and dishonestly. Kasarla Raj Kumar was being arrested and produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE & ACB Court Karimnagar.
