"I seek your expeditious attention on making Indian Society much more transparent and create a pragmatic environment for Welfare Delivery according to the caste-based census. This will be one more historic correction by your kind self, long pending, with which, real-time correct data will be in the hands of our planners. You have gained permanence in achievements for the times to come, by several historic corrections for National Integration and Territorial Inclusion. This will establish your commitment to inclusiveness - Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas, Sab Ka Vishwas. Being the son of Telangana, South of our nation, I could understand from the ground, across Southern states, this urge for Caste Based Census," he wrote in a letter to Modi.
Ananda Bhaskar Rapolu said Parliamentary Committee on Welfare of OBCs has made fervent recommendations for the caste-based census. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Ministry of Home Affairs are also fully engrossed with the subject.
"The Census Registrar is having all the resources and machinery ready for it. Presently, hopes are very high in your committed, robust way of handling issues and crises, that your kind self will definitely ensure a great scope of transparency with putting a full stop to the decades' long denial of knowing the exact share of OBC communities in the total population. Your considered nod will create history and ensure correction and transparency. I earnestly pray for your cordial consideration and announce the caste-based census as a gift to Indian society on your ensuing birthday - September 17," he wrote.
