COVID 19: Telangana reports 614 fresh COVID cases, four new deaths on Friday

Four new deaths are reported on July 30, taking the total tally to 3,800. The fatality rate in the state is 0.58 percent which is less than the national average of 1.3 percent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 73 new cases while Karimnagar reported 61 new cases. Warangal Urban reported 59 new cases while Khammam reported 47 new cases.
Around 657 citizens recovered from the infection on Friday taking the tally of total recoveries to 6,31,389. The recovery rate, as per the government, now stands at 97.99 percent, which is approximately higher than the national average of 97.35 percent.
The government tested 1,11,251 citizens for the virus on Friday. So far 2,18,93,203 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 5,88,210. Still, 1,950 reports are awaited.
The state currently has 9,141 active cases. Of total positive cases, 79.8 percent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 20.2 percent are symptomatic.
According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.3 percent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 8.03 percent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.69 percent. 44.31 percent of victims had no comorbidities.
