COVID-19 vaccination drive for railways healthcare staff begins

The South Central Railways on 18 January started the COVID-19 vaccination drive for its frontline medical staff at the Central Railway Hospital, Lallaguda, Secunderabad. The vaccine does were given to the doctors, nurses and housekeeping staff of the establishment.

Hyderabad: The South Central Railways on 18 January started the COVID-19 vaccination drive for its frontline medical staff at the Central Railway Hospital, Lallaguda, Secunderabad. The vaccine does were given to the doctors, nurses and housekeeping staff of the establishment.

The zonal hospital in coordination with the Central and State governments has received 593 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. These vaccine shots will be given to all the healthcare staff belonging to the health units of Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Chilkaguda, Kacheguda and Moula Ali over a period of six days. The healthcare staff which includes the doctors, the nursing staff, the lab technicians, the pharmacists, and the housekeeping staff will be vaccinated in the first phase.

According to the SCR, during the COVID-19 pandemic, these frontline healthcare staff of the zone have rendered yeomen service, putting their physical, mental and social well-being at risk. Due to their dedicated service, the healthcare staff of the zone will be the first to be given the COVID-19 vaccination doses.
