Seemingly rattled by the custodial death of a woman, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has called an all-party meeting on Sunday to discuss CM's Dalit Empowerment Scheme.

Hyderabad: Seemingly rattled by the custodial death of a woman, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has called an all-party meeting on Sunday to discuss CM's Dalit Empowerment Scheme.

The proposed meeting will start at 11.30 AM at Pragati Bhavan. Lunch arrangements have also been made for the meeting. After Lunch, the meeting would again resume.

In the meeting, the Dalit public representatives, all Dalit MPs, MLAs, MLCs from all the political parties including the opposition AIMIM, Congress, BJP parties Floor Leaders would participate. They will get the official invitations soon.

The CM personally called up CPM and CPI party's State Secretaries Chada Venkat Reddy, Tammineni Veerabhadram and urged them to depute their senior Dalit leaders. The CM also decided to invite other Dalit leaders who are working for the progress and development of a marginalized section of the society. On this occasion, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, CMO Officials, and other higher officials from the Government departments would participate.

"Telangana government is working for the welfare of Dalits in all the sectors. Against the backdrop, the proposed meeting would discuss at length the qualitative development change that the government can bring in and what measures can be taken to achieve this," he said.
